MANGAPIKO HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
The Trustees of the above district met for business at Paterangi on Saturday. Present: Messrs Tisdale, Mackay, and the Chairman. The minutes of fo mer meeting were road and confirmed, also outward correspondence. Letters received were dis-cus-ed and disposfld of. Mr Hall having applied for a change of road, it was decided to recommend it ; the Board to be at no expense. The Commissioner of Crown Lands wrote, covering a copy of a letter from Mr Harper re closing a road through Mr Boaanko t 8 farm. The Secretary was ordered to reply, contradioting the statements contained therein seriatim. The report of Mr Sandes, surveyor, upon several roads in the district was rereived, and it was resolved to call for tenders for draining on the lower TeAwamutu road. The Board also arranged with Mr Sandes to provide certified plans of the roads lately closed, and to value the fame, the Secretary to give public notice of their being stopped. Accounts to the amount of £34 were passed, and paid. This concluded the business, and the meeting rose.
