' Pedigree :— By Lord Clifden, dam Haricot by Mango or Lanercost — Queen Mary by Gladiator— her dam by Plenipotentiary — Myrrha by Whalebone. Lord Clifden by Newminster, dam The Slave by Melbourne. A glance at the above will sbow that Feve is one of the best bred horses ever exported from England. Terms — lOgs. each for thoroughbred mares ; Ggs. each for half-bred mares ; two or more mpres, the property of one owner, by agreement. Good paddock h will be provided at Gorton and, at Woodlands, near Cambridge, at 2s 6d per week. The Horse will be in Cambridge each Tuesday, and at Woodlands that night. From thence down the Hamilton Road to the Narrows Road on Wednesday, and return by the Tamahrre Hoad to the Farm of Mr Allwill. Hercules is a bay howe, 8 years old, and stands 15£ hands high, combines the best of blood with pood bone and immense power, and has proved himself a good horse on the turf. At the Canterbury meeting in 1876, won the Grand Stand Handicap, 1 mile, iv 1 mm. 50 sees., carrying 8 st. 2 lbs., beating 6 others. In the same year won the Hawkes Bay Stakes, 2 miles, in 4 mins. 4i sees. , beating Fishhook and the Maori Weed.
Hercules will travel on and after Ist October, calling at the undermentioned places: — Mondays — Leave Cambridge, calling at Ohaupo and Alexandra. Tuesdays— Te Awamutu and Kihikihi Wednesdays — Kihikihi Thursdays— Will call at Rotorangion his return to Mr W. K. Carter's, Cambridge, where he remains the rest of the week.
