Britain's Proposed Coercion. London October 11.
It is. now known that the proposals which have been made by the British Government to the Continental Powers for the coercion of the Porte is, that the combined squadron should enter the Gulf of Smyrna, and there place an embargo on Turkish commerce. Austria and Germany hesitate to accept this proposal.
