London, September 1. In the House of Commons the adjourned debate in committee on the constabulary vote was resumed. Further discussion took plat c, but the Irish members abandoned the obstruction which they had pursued on Friday night. Mr Parnell made a speech in course of which he promised to uae his influence to prevent outrages in Ireland, and ensure order in that country. , The vote for the constabulary waVtfcen passed, and the committee proceeded with other estimates. In the House of Lords, Lord Granville, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, presented papers relating to the Bill, which had been introduced in the French Chambers, providing for the payment of heavy bounties to French shippers. , His Lordship, i« laying papers on the table of ,the House, said the proposed bounties were contrary to the spirit of the existing Anglo French Commercial Treaty, and would operate injuriously on English trade. r> ,
, Closing of the Jesuit Schools in" France. * Paris, August 30. • All the Jesuit schools and other establishments in France have ,now been closed in accordance with the , decrees *pf the French Chambers. The schools have, been evacuated by the inmates prior "to 'their being visited by the police for formal closing.
