Waikato Times Office, Friday Evening. AUCTIONEERS' REPORTS.

■\V.uk\to Cattle Market.— Messrs Hunter and Nolan report holding a sale of cattle, sheep, Set-., at the Cambridge Yards, on Thursday. There was a very large muster of stock, the whole of the pens being fully occupied, and the attendance of buyers was also good. Fat stockinet with a ready sale at good figures. The following are the quotations: — Dairy cows sold at lrom j£7 ios to j£d ; weaned cahes and yearlings, £2 10s to £z 15s ; one-and-a-half-ycar-old stcen>, in low condition, from £3 15s to £4 5s ; two-and-a-half- yoar-old ttecrs, £6', fat heifers, £7 to £7 10s; fat cows front £7 17s 6d to £& 10s ; tat steers from £6 5s to £& 15s ; fat wethers, 24s each ; fat hoggets from 15s to 17a; breeding sows, £\ 6s each. Auckland Cattle Market.— Mr Alfred Buckl.ind's Weekly Report:— At the Haymarket, on Friday last, fodder ranged from 2s to sb ; s;raw, is 6d the cwt. ; damaged oats from is 3d to is 7d ; sound oats, 2s 3d to 4d ; maize, 3s 3d to 3s 4d the bushel ; potatoes, L 4 51. the ton. Horse stock were in moderate number, and dull of sale. Hoa\y draught brought from L3O to L 35 ; strong, active omnibus horses, Ll7 to L 25 each. At the Haymarket, on Tuesday, hides were in limited number and late values. Skins were in full number and good inqniry. Full-woolled skins brought irom 3s od to 4s nd each; locks and pieceu, 3]d and s^d the lb. At Papakura, on Wednesday there was a good muster of wellbred cattle, and * steady demand. Two to three-year-old steers brought from L± 10s to L 6 5s ; cows from L 5 7s 6d to L 7 ; yearlings, L 3 to L 3 18s; calves, 37s to 44s each. At Jicmucra, on Thursday, dairy co«» and store cattle, particularly cows and heifers, were dull of sale, but no well-bred «tock were yarded. Fat cattle were in full number; 182 head yarded, many of them being heavy weights. Prices were lower than las>t week —about 3s the ioolb.— and were steady throughout the sale at 30s for ihip-borno cattle; the provincial cattle ranged from 30s to 34s the ioolbs. Sheep were also abundant ; about 1000 penned, and for those, prices were lower than last week about id the lb. Prices realised were 3sd_, and at this value there wa» Steady competition. The first lambs offered this season occasioned considerable competition, and prices ranged from 14s to 26s each ' 30 were sold, and thoso woro received by ship from »he Bay of Islands. Store sheep were duu at sale, and brought but low prises. Not many pigs yarded. Smail sized porkers were in demand from 18s to 30s each. On Friday the usual number were entered for disposal, and most of the animals wore quitted at satisfactory prices. Jarge supply of dairy and store stock, and fat boasts were fully represented. On Tuesday, at Newmarket, the yards were well filled with stores, and fat cattle were in large supply, and consequently, were lower in value than last week, and sold at about 28s to 33s per ioolbs. There was no noteworthy alteration in the price of dairy and store stock.— The yards were well filled on Tuesday and in consequence of the large supply from the East and Wcit Coasts, prices receded considerably. We quote wetbars from 19s to 23s 6d ; mixed sexes, from 12$ <4 to 18$. Pigs were yarded in limited numbeis, and sold at ostrpmo rates.
