A landslip at Poiotiers buried a large number of persons and injured others. It is positively announced that the Baroness Burdett Coutts will be married. The Queen strongly dissuades her, and refused her Savoy Chapel for the ceremony. The Baroness forfeits half her fortune if she marries. The thousand Mahomedan pilgrims on the wrecked steamer were all saved, not lost, as first reported. Large numbers have deserted Ayoub Khan. General Stewart, with 30,000 soldiers, occupy the Gugailale country. All is quiet. Inflammatory papers have been sent to India from Turkey with the knowledge of the Porte. Sir W. E. Foster has announced that if necessary the Government would summon Parliament to take special measures in re Irish affairs, but did not consider it would.
