LAST NIGHT'S SITTING.
On the House resuming 1, Sir George Giey addressed it for about an hour on the land question, generally supporting the resolution of Mr De Latonr, and condemning the manner in which Mr Rolleston had spoken of that hon. member. The motion for going into Supply was carried by 41 to 25; the amendment being n6gatived in the supply items on roads in North Island, £49,400; roads bridges, and wharfe*. North of Auckland, £67,650; and roads and bridges in the unsettled districts, Putea and Taranaki, £48,816 were parsed.
