[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.] [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] THE LATE OUTBREAK OF PLEUROPNEUMONIA IN WAIKATO. Wellington, Last Night, 11.35 p.m.
The report of Mr Michie, Veterinary I Surgeon, has been laid prt the table, and shows to '• {lemon stration that notwithstanding the persistent assertions to the contrary made by interested r parties in your district, pleuro-pneumonia existed in a virulejnt form in Waikato, having, doubtless, beem introduced from New South < Wales ; ■Mr Michie states that it - will take some time yet to eradicate it. Much commendation is given in the report to Mr Veterinary Surgeon Naden. It was stated in Waikato by a few that pleuro existed only in the Waikato I Times Office. Mr Michies report settles that point, and demonstrates the wisdom and justice of the policy adopted by the Waikato Times under the trying circumstances.
