PUBLIC NOTIFICATION. The following Order-in-Oouncil authorising the Sale of 4 acres of Land, contained in a road which has been stopped on the property of Mr James Runciman, is published for the information of ratepayers of the Kirikiriroa Highway District. ANDREW PRIMROSE, Chairman, Kirikiriroa Highway District. Land in the Kirikiriroa Highway District not required for public use, authorised to be sold. HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor. ORDER IN COUNC L. At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of July 1880. Present : His Excellency the Governor iw Council.
WHEREAS by section twenty- nine of" The Public Works. Act, 1876" (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), it is enacted that, if it is found that any land taken under that Act in not required for public use, the Governor may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein set forth : And whereas by the ninety -fourth section of the said Act it is enacted that the laud occupied by any road stopped as provided by the said - 1 ct shall be dealt with as provided by the twenty-ninth and following sections of the said Act in the case of tends not required for public use. And wrhereas the roads, the land occupied by which is described in the Schedule hereto, have been stopped under the authority of the said Act : And whereas the Highway Board of the Kirikiriroa Highway Distriot has laid before the Governor the memorial referred to in the twenty-uinth section of the said Act, praying the Governor, by an Order in Council, to rause such land to be sold : Now, therefore, I, Sir Herculea George Robert Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advica and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities aforesaid, do hereby order and authorize the land described in the Schedule hereto to be sold ami dealt with in the manner and subject to the conditions of the twenty-ninth and following bections of the said Act. .SCHEDULE. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 4 acres,, more or less, situated in the Survey District of Komakorau, Parish of Kirikiriroa, Provincial District of Auckland, commencing at the nothermntst corner of Section 279. Bounded — North-westerly by a line, 100 links ; thence generally North -easterly by Sections 278, 277) and 27(>, 1333, 1333, and 1334, links respectively ; thence South-easterly by a public road, 100 links ; thence generally .South -wehterly to commencing point by .Sections 281 and 279, 2000 and 2000 links respectively or thcre-abouts ; be the aforesaid linkages more or less ; and the same being more particularly delineated upon the map attached to the memorial above referred to. Crown Lands Office, Auckland, August 6, 1880, I HEREBY notify that 41 Acres of Lot 266, Mangapiko (Hospital Endowment) will be offered for Lease by Public Auction, at this Office, ou THURSDAY, the 9th September next, at the hour of 12 o'clock noon. Tarm : 14 years. Upset price per annum ; £8 % The Government reserves to itself the right of taking a portion of the above lands as a site for a Hospital at any time during the currency of the lease. Waitoa Highway District.
IT is hereby notified that the Waitoa Highway District Board intend to meet in the Nottingham ( Castle Hotel, Piako, on the 21st day of August, 1880, at 11.30 a.m., for the purpose of making a Rate of Ninepence in the Pound, for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1880, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1881, payable in one sum on the Ist day of September, 1880. The Rate-book is open for inspection at the residence of Alexander Bremner, who is appointed Collector to the Board ; and the said Rate is to be paid to him at his residence on the said Ist day of September, 1880.
