The Irish Tenants' Compensation Bill.— Disturbances feared. London, August 6.
The Right Hon. "W, E. Forster, ' Chief Secretary for Ireland, made a speech in the House of Commons to-day, in the course of which he said he deplored the rejection cf the Irish Tenants' Compensation Bill by the House of liords. He trusted the favourable harvest prospects Would alleviate the condition of the farmers, and he appealed to the members to use their influence to preserve ordor. In consequence of the rejection of the Bill, troops have been ordered to Ireland, as disturbances are feared.
