SIR H. ROBINSON APPOINTED GOVERNOR OF THE CAPE. [REUTERS TELEGRAMS.]
London, August 6. Sin Hekcules Robinson will, ifc is stated, succeed Sir Barfcle Frero as Governor of the Cape colony.
London, August 7. It is announced that Sir Arthur Gordon, Governor of Fiji, has been appointed Governor of New Zealand ; and that Major George Oumine Strahan, Governor of Tasmania, wll act as Deputy at the Capo until the arrival of Sir Hercules Robinson from New Zealand.
