The programme w<is a long one, without the encores, w Inch with suuh. talent, and ho appreciative au au'dier/ce, followed" nearly all singers. The first pnrt of , tho programme was the Overture, "Madame^ Angot," by Mr Nicol&on, and was well received. Glee, " Lightly tread," by the company, was most attentively testified too, aud the tiuio was excellent, showing the pc- formes had well studied their pa"ts. Song, by R ft v Mr Phillip V'Cruidm* star," was given by that gentleman in it most finished manner. Song, " Little Nill," by Miss Finch, was ono of the gems of the e\ening, and has been more th m once noticed by Various correspondents in youiv paper, so that my ciitioi.sin is comparatively unimportant. Song, " I'm the girl called Nancy," by Miss Dawsort/ was a lively performance. Bong, " Fadmir away," by Mi-s Morn Tar.iwhiti, was a most creditable performance and was enthusiastically received. Song I,'"Babies1 ,' "Babies on our blook," by Mr Nicholson, received its fall share of approbation. Solo, "Charge of the Light Brigade," Mr Hunter, was a fine perform, ince and was duly hoiioicd. " Children's voice?," glee, by Mies Finch and company, was impressively rendered, and the choius most skilfully sung and timed. Song, " Kitty of Ccleraine," Mr F. McMinn ; the singer was all at home, and dressed up for the occasion. Roais of laughter wre caused by some impertinent friend asking, " Why, Mac, have you too changed your coat?" As a general favorite, however, hit. equal is hard to be fouud. Duet, "Mossy B*mk,." -Mrs Capel and Miss Finch, was a musical treat which brought down the house. " Milly 's faith," was another duly acknowledged. Song 1 , " Lord Lovell " (in character), Ciptain Capel ; this old favorite was given in a style that would not disgrace' the boards, and caused roars of laughter. Song 1 , '• We don't want to fight," Mr A. Stewart. As usual thi.s gentleman's nous was well received. Song 1 , " Golden start,,"' Miss Asl), which was very sweetly rendered. Pi.inoforte duet, " Princess Louise," by the Misses Hill, was a nio->t brillia-it performance, with nothing to mar its harmony. The glee, " Come where my love lies dreaming 1 ," by the company, and " God save the Queen," by the audience, finished the best concert we have had for a long- time. Dancing-, as usual, was kept up mo^t vigoiously until morning. The services of the hem. secretary, Mr U. M. Aubius-Ahior, in getting 1 up such an excellent entertainment, and Mrs Finch's kindness in lending her piano, aio al«o deserving- of recognition. — [Correspondent.) Alexandra, 2nd August
