Concidcring the majority of the (government in that Committee, the report does credit to their impartiality, and is a victory for Mr Sheehan. The Patetere Committee has just been appointed after a sharp discussion.

READER WOOD. Mr Reader Wood made one of his chai'acteri->tic speeches hitting both sides hard. I had intended to give you a portion of his speech, but space and time will not permit. The verdict was that he wns'one of the grandest actors south of the line, spoiled by being made a legislator. The session will close at the end of August.
