Affairs in AfghanistanLondox, July 26.

In the House of Commons, the Marquis of Hartington made a statement concerning Afghanistan and the Ameerphip. He said he had been informed that it was impossible yet to enter into any negotiations regarding Kandahar and Gundamuk. It has been decided by the Government that no foreign influence should be allowed at Cabul, and • that no British Resident be send there. There is a probability that it might be decided to send a Mahomedan Envoy instead.
