Ayoub Kalian has crossed the river Halmund, and it it is expected that 4000 horsemen will join the advance guard. The cavalry approached close to the British camp at Gfrishk, on the road to Kandahar, whither the British troops had heen despatched to support Shere Ali, the newly-appointed ruler of Kandahar.
