+ Ov and after the istjuly mails will close at this office as under : — For Ngnruawahia, Huntlej", Mercer, and Auckland daily at 9.4=5 a.m. ; for Oh.iupo, Te Awamutu, and Yloxandra daily at 1.50 p.m.; for Kirikiriroa, Hautapu, and Cambridge daily at 2.^0 p.m. ; for Morrins\ille every Wednesday and Saturday at 7.35 a.m. ; for Whatawhata. every Saturday at 1 p.m.; for Nfirahincpouri every Saturday at 2.30 p.m. For registered letters and" money orders, thirty minutes before closing of mail by which they are to be despatched.
Next English mail, via San Francisco, will close at this office on Monday, the ioth instant, at 6. }5 a.m., for registered letters, &c, &c. Hkrbert Locik, Postmaster.
Paralysis in pigs may be caused by cpld, producing inflammation of the spinal cord, or rheumatism, or by parasitic worms in the kidneys or the fat about the kidneys. The proper treatment i8 to give one dram of salfc-petro daily for a wepk, and to apply turpentine or mustard plaster to the'loin . Give warm plops, and keep the pig in a warm, dry place. A M£ around the loins would lie useful.
