News has been received from JPekm that Chung How, the late Chinese Ambassador at St. Petersburg, who was reported to have been beheaded, but was, as now transpires, only impeaohed by hia Government for his aotion in oonnection with the conclusion of the Kuldja treaty with Russia, has been reprieved. It is further stated that this step is . an indication that the Chinese Government desires to maintain peace with Russia.
