Messrs Hunter and Nolans Weekly Rcporn. — Hoises —There has been a marked improvement both as to supply and demand. A draft from Wanganui, e\ Rangatiri, attrai ted considerable notice. At the .Durham Yards ( oinpetition w.is spirited throughout the sale, and lots were, almost without i:\ception, cleared at satisfactory prices. AYe quote: Hacks from £6 to £1^ 7s 6d ; light harness, £13 to £fj ios ; draught, 28s to 40s. Cattle—lhe supply liasn bee moderate, and demand steady. At Newmarket, on Tucsdii), the supply ot dairy cows was good, which was the case at Papakura on Wednesday. Stores were plentiful at the latter place, and tat beasts were yarded in moderate numbers, but sufficient for requirements, and prices were -without notewoithy alteration. Dairy stock was a shade higher in value, and stores at Pap.ikura were well competed for by a good attendance of buyeis. We quote: Dairy cows, £7 10s to £10 15s; store cows, £3 ios to £5 2s 6d; weaned cahes, £2 to £2 15s; yearlings, £1 to £3 5s ; two->ear-old steers, L 4 ios to L 5 ss; three-year-old steers, L 6 ios.. Sheep—Tlie supply of fat sheep has been adequate, and corresponding demand, consequently prices were without matenal alteration, although hcavywetbers did not attain so high a hgurc as the previous week, the top price being 20s for wethers; tat lambs, 8s 6d to ios 6d. Pigs were in limited numbers, but without alteration in, value.
