Byrne shot Whilst Standing at the Bar.
According to the statement of some of the persons detained, afterwards made, that volley proved fatal to Joe Byrne who was standing close to young Delaney drinking a nobbier at the bar. He was shot in the groin. He was carried towards the back of the building where he gradually sank and died a very painful death.
