The Rails Torn Up.

As the train approached within a mile a quarter of Glenrowan, and when opposite Fl.iyford'vS and Devoir's paddock, the special was brought to a sudden halt in consequence of danger signals from the pilot engine in front. It was soon discovered that tho desperadoes had torn up the rails along the line in order to throw the train off. Superintendent Hare was not long, however, in determinirsf what course to pursue, and at once proceeded in the pilot engine to the railway station, clobely followed by the special. On arriving at the station, the hoi>es were got oat of the tracks, whilst Mr Hare, with one or two men, and Mr R-iwlins made .straight for the G-lenrowan Hotel, the latter remarking that they would bring' back the remains of the outlaws soon.
