WE the undersigned Burgesses re. spectfully request that you will be good enough to call a public meeting of the Burgesses of the aforesaid Borough of Hamilton, for the purpose of discussing the action of the Council in acquiring 1 or dealing with a certain piece of land adjoining embankment at We*t end of Bridge, and to enquire into the action of the Council in dealing "with surplus toll monies, and other matters affecting the welfare of the Borough ; said meeting to be called at an early date ; and would suggest Oddfellows' Hall as the place best suited for the purpose : — ' John Knox Wm.
