Mr G. E. Clauk, of Cambridge, as agent for Mi- A. A. Fanthani, lias disposed of tho shorthorn bull calf Royal Darlington to Mr Paton, Hautapu, at a satisfactory figure. The following is the animal's pedigree, and prizes taken by dams and sires :—: — Koyal Darlington, white, calved, 3rd December, 1879, by Lord Darlington 2nd, HH3 N.Z.H.B. ; dam Royal Belle, by Koyal (Iwynue, 32390 ; q dam Belle of Spreydon, by Count Oxfoul, 20540 ; q q dam Queen M.ib, by Oinalia Pacha, 88 N.Z.H.B. ; q q q dam Belle, by Prime Minister, ISo7O. Koyal Belle gained Ist prize at the C. A. and P. Association's Show, 187b"; Ist prize at Cambridge, 1577 ', and l&t prize at Cambridge, 1878. Belle of Spreydon gained 2nd prize at the C. A. and P. Association's Bho\v, 1874 ; and 3rd prize in IS7(». Queen M.vb gained Ist prize at the C. A. and P. Association's Show, 1867 ; also Ist prize in 186S; Ist, ISO!) ; Ist, 1871 ; Ist, 1872; Ist, 18/3; Ut, 1874; 2nd, 1575 ; Ist, IS7<). The sires have been equally successful on the show grounds of New Zealand. Royal Uwynne q lined Ut prize in 1874; al^o, Ch.un])ion Prize 187-i; Ist, 1875; and Ist, 1870. We congratulate Mr Pafcon. on securing so grand an animal.
