THE MELBOURNE CUP, 1880.
One hundred and eight entries have been received by the secretary of the V.R.C for the " Blue Ribbon" of the Australian colonies, which will be contested for on Tuesday, 2nd November, and 48 entries for the Champion Stakes to be run for on New Year's Day, 1881.
