THE MELBOURNE CUP, 1880. Mr. Buck's Consultation.
Mr Buck, the energetic proprietor of the Waikato Hotel lias undertaken a consultation on the coming Melbourne Cub. There are to be 500 subscribers at LI ; first horse L2OO ; second LlOO ; third L5O ; other starters (divided) LIOO : nonstarters (divided) LoO. Eight gentlemen from the subscribers present will supervise the drawing, which will take place in the Hamilton Hall. Mr Buck is to be congratulated on the initiation of consultations in Hamilton.
