Store cattle at lower values. Fat cattle in average numlvrs, 140 yarded, last week's prices varying from 26s to 30s the ioolbs., was fully sustained. Seveial pens of ewes in lamb were slowly competed for, and brought from 83 to 15s each. Fat sheep were in short supply, and advanced in price 2s each. No good pigs 3'ardcd. Messrs Hunter and Nolans Wcokiv Repoit.— Horses—The market has been dull, and less than average number have been disposed ot. On Friday scarcely the usual number were enteied for disposal by auction at the Durham Yaids.. Bidding was languid, and in several instances reserves could not be reached at auction; but lots were almost without exception cleared, either at auction or afterwards privately,v ately, and there was no noteworthy alteration in quotations. Hides and Skins—On Tuesday theie was an impro\ed demand for hides, which sold at from 2?d to }|d. Skins sold at from is sd to 2s tod each. Cattle— The rough weather here had the effect of preventing dairy and store stoi k trom being brought forward, consequently there icmains an unsatisfied demand. A laige number of fat beasts were brought forward at Newmarket on Tuesday, the demand was steady at from 23s to 28s per ioolbs. Considering the state of the weather, there was a good muster at Papakura. Buyers were in attendance, and for stores prices showed a slightly upward tendency. We quote dairy cows trom £8 15s to £is; dry cows from £3 10s to £$; calves from £1 7s to £2 10s ; yearlings, £2 5s to £2 17s 6d J two-year-old steers, from £3 17s M to £4 10s; grown steers, 10s. Sheep—There has been a large supply, but a good demand has existed, consequently prices ha\c not receded. Fat wethers sold at from 13s 6d to 18s ; ewes, us to 14s 6d. There were no lambs yaided at Newmarket on Tuesday. Pigs—There was again a large supply. Prices were a shade lower.
