AucKr.\ND Catil- Markki.—Mr Alfred Nuckland's Weekly Report.—At the Hayin.iiket on Friday todder was plentiful. Meadow h.ty of good quality brought from 3s 6d to }•> 6d ; oaten and red clover hay, 4s to 6s the cwt. Not many of the agricultural implements wore sold at the auction, out a lajge proportion after the sale, at prices favorable to the buyers. For the purebred pigs, bred by Mr Hurst, there was good competition, and they obtained an average of about £$ each. O.its brought from as to 2s 3d; cocksfoot seed, 7» 6d and 3s; ryegrass, 4s 6d the busheKt An average muster ot hon.es, many of good quality, were at low values. Heavy draught nllics of a good stamp were sold for £26 and £27 each. Medium draught commmand higher relative prices, and hardy, sound riding horses arc scarcely to be obtained. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday there was an average supyly. .Station skins brought is id to 3s 4d c.ich; hides were better worth, best quality brought 3§d the lb.; tallow, 20s 6d. the cwt. At Papakura on Wednesday about 70 cattle, mostly steers of a good, class, mot with a steady demand, and the late advance in prices was sustained. At Remuera on Thursday daity cattle of good quality were freely competed for at a slight advance in values. Store cattle were also \n better inquiry. Fat cattle were in full number ; 143 head yarded, generally of large si/c, and well fatted. Last Week's prices were sustained, but the market was more irregular—in some instances higher, and- in others lower rates being obtained; but the general prices were 26s for ship-borne,'and 23s tor Auckland-fatted cattle of good quality. Several pens <of store ewes were fairly competed for, and brought from 8s to us each. lambs, 7s to 9s. Fat sheep were in usual supply .. —about 500 parded—and were steady at 2^o to 24' d2 4 'd the lb. Store pigs were lower in price than a month since, and few fat pigs offered. Messrs Hunter and Nolans Weekly Report. — Horses: Activity has characterised the market. Prices have been sustained, and an average number have changed hands. On Friday, quite the usual number were entered for disposal by; auction at the Durham Yards. The demand was spirited, and nearly all entered were disposed of by auction, and thers remains an unsatisfied demand for good upstanding young geldings foi Coaching purposes. We quote hacks jb4 17s 6d to *£i&; light-harness horses, from £17 to £28; medium draught, £37" 10s. Cattle. —The market has continued sturring, and prices have been sustained. On Tuesday, there was a good muster at Newmarket. Fat beasts, with the exception of those of very fine quality, were a,shade lower, but other descriptions did not recede, and there remained an unsatisfied enquiry for good dairy cows at their profit. Sheep. —The supply has been good, and for those of good description prices were sustained, but for those intended for the butcher, not sufficiently up in condition, prices reached to is 6d per 81bs. Pigs. —There was an unusually large supply at Newmarket on Tuesday, and some of them being heavy weights, prices Realised were not so high as in the previous week —2^d per lb., live weight, being about the average rate.
