WHAT A MISTAKE.

In the Dnriice Court, a remarkable in--tmce of (nroW-n^s in tho dispatch of loiter^ ha-, he n made public. Dr Brandbury a phy-imu in extensive practice in S<il ford, near Manchester, was married in 1 871 to a very young but extremely good looking 1 idy. After th° birth of a moy, the only isvup of the marriage, Mrs Bradbury, being in rath°r delicate health, w.is spil£ alone te Blackpool for change of air. One morning about the time for her rt tui n to Salford, the doctor received a letter from his wife which very much astonished him. It commenced: — " My Dearest Boy," and went on to state that she was leaving" Blackpool next afternoon, and asking the person to whom she was writing to meet her previous to her leaving. She stated that she thought she saw his figure in the street a day or two previous, and wa a so much disappointed when she found that it was not him. The letter wound up with some endearing- expressions, and was signed " His loving Minnie." It turned out that Mrs Bradbury when she wrote this letter had, at the same time, written one to her husband, tolling him to meet her at the Victoria station, Manchester, next night, after six o'clock, and that she had by mistake put the letter she had written to the other party into the envelope addressed to her husband, and consequently his surprise at receiving it. Di B ad bury went to the railway station the following afternoon, when he found his wife in company with an individual who turned out to be captain and adjutant of the 106 th Regiment of Foot, stationed at Manchebter. He sent the gentleman about his business, and took his wife in a o.ib home to her mother's. The affair has ended by the outraged husband, obtaining a divorce.
