TE RORE BRIDGE CONTRACT. Public Works Office, . Wellington,' Srd-,May, 1880. WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this office up to NOQN i on Wednesday, the 26th May, 1880, for the above cbntract. They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, Wellington,; and marked outside '* Tender for Te Rore Bridge Contract." Plans and specifications may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Auckland, Grahamstown, Hamilton (Waikato), and Wellington, and at the Railway Manager's Office Napier. Telegraphic tenders, similarly- laddressedv.and marked, will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by' NOON of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at a District or Resident Engineer's Office by the same hour, and accompanied by a cheque on some bank in the town' where the tender is lodged ; such cheque to be specially marked by a banker ,as good for twenty-one days, and to be' -in' favour of the Receiver- General's Deposit Account only, and not to bearer or order. THE following resolution passed at a meeting of the above Board held on the 13th instant, is hereby notified for the information of Cattle Owners and Ratepayers in the above district :— " That no cattle be allowed to be depastured upon the waste lands within the limits of the Township after the 31st day of October next."

IT has been proved to me that no Valuation List has been prapai*ed for the above district, aa provided by Section 6of the "Rating Act, 1876," I hereby appoint Henry Harvey Reynolds, of Alexandra, to make such list, and do order that the same when completed shall be deposited for public inspection at the Post Office, Alexandra, on the Ist day of June, 1880 ; and that all objections thereto shall be delivered at the house of Mr Alexander Grant, Alexandra West, addressed to the Assessment Court, on or before the 14th day of June, 1880. And I do further appoint a sitting of the Assessment Court for the hearing of such objections, to be held at the aforesaid house on a day to be hereafter fixed and notified. W..G-.
