Three prizes, given by gentlemen residing in Hamilton avlio take great interest in volunteering 1 , were shot for, Trooper Ellison taking first prize ; Trooper Alexander second, and Lieut. Johuson third. After firing for the prizes a sweepstake was got up, Lieut. Johnson taking first prize, Coleman and Edgecumbe second and third. The day was not a very favorable one for shooting — rather a bad light, with an occasional shower and the wind across target. Lieut. Johnson's score at 200 yards was an uim&ually good one — 10 points out of a possible 20. The following are the scores :—: —
