TTNDER and in pursuance of the U powers vested in the Council of the Borough of Hamilton by "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and the Acts amending the same, the Council of the said Borough does hereby notify that it has established a Pound upou those premises, being Allotment No. 225 a in the town of Hamilton West, and Allotment No. 36 in the Town of Hamilton East, and that the said premises be and be used as public pounds.

THIS is to notify that under and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Council of the Borough of Hamilton by " Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and the Acts amending the same, the said Council do hereby appoint Richard Land to be the keeper of the public pound at Hamilton West, and James Coombes to be the keeper of the pound at Hamilton East ; and this is further to notify that the fees and prices set forth in the following schedule may be taken and charged by the said keepers. For every horse, mare, gelding, colt, filly, foal, (except sucking foals), mule or ass 2 6 For every bull, cow, ox, steer, heifer or calf 2 6 For every ram, ewe, weather or lamb, for the first twenty per head 0 2 For every ram, ewe, weather or lamb, for the first thirty per head 0 1| For the next fifty per head ... 0 1 For all others above one hundred 00} For every boar, sow, or other pig goat or kid 0 1 The above fees to be paid for each day or part of day during which the animal is kept in pound. Notice to Cattle Owners. rpHE South Auckland Cattle Board JL hove granted permission to owners of Cattle in Hamilton East to depasture Cattle within the limits of the Borough, on permit being obtained from Inspector Hunchnau. Notice. A LL PERSONS found trespassing in Pursuit of Game on the property of the Waikato Land Association will be prosecuted.

IMPOUNDED, on the Bth May, 1880, by R. H. D. Fergusson, Esq. :— 1 Bay Mare, no brands visible, hind feet white, blazed face, lame, suftering from a sore back, apparently in foal; owner unknown : for trespassing on the Gorton Estate at Cambridge, for which Five Pounds sterling- damages is claimed ; and, in default of being released, the above mare will be sold at the Public Pound at Cambridge on the 25th day of May, 1880, at noon.
