It is stated that the Chief Secretary for Ireland, the »■ ight Hon. W. E. Foster, recommends the adoption of a policy of coercion towards Ireland, with the view to settle the difficulties which beset the Government in that country. '
London, May 15. The statement made that the Chief Secretary for Ireland recommends a policy oi coercion towards Ireland is denied.'
