DRAMATIC ENTERTAINMENT.

It will be seen by an advertisement in another column that Mr and Mrs Lucas, kindly assisted by the members of the Cambridge Amateur Dramatic Society, will give an entertainment this evening in Le Quesne's Hamilton Hall. The programme will consistof the sprightly French comedy-drama "Delicate Ground," the scene of which is laid at the time of the great Revolution, to be followed by the laughable comedietta of "A Blighted Being, " the parts of which will be filled exclusively by the amateurs. The same programme was presented at Cambridge last week, and created -a very favorable impi-ession. The society indeed possesses many of the elements which go to make a dramatic representation successful, and, so far, they have shown an aptitude for adapting their capabilities to the pieces chosen — a merit not always possessed by amateur companies. Of the abilities of Mi 1 and Mrs Lucas it is not necessary to say much. In the piece to be presented tonight their acting is finished and careful, and such as to make the comedy pass off smoothly and airily. Altogether the entertainment can hardly fail to be enjoyable, and we do not doubt that the attendance will be large. The band of the Hamilton Light Infantry Volunteers (by permission of the captain) have kindly consented to perform a number of choice selections during the evening.
