Auckland Cattlr Market.— Mr Alfred Buckland's Weekly Report.— At the Haymnrkot, on Friday last, fodder was plentiful : but brought previous values. Potatoes, 42s and 44s the ton ; maize, nd; cocksfoot, 3s }d the bushel. Oats have risen, and arc now at 21 3d the bushel wholesale« The pair &f Exmoor ponies brought

£^t ; yearling draught colt, £25 toa ; medium draught horses, from £18 to £26 each. The heavy draught mares were withdrawn. On Tuesday hide* were in short supply, but at previous values. Best quality, sf d the lb.; tallow, 22s 6d the cwt.; sheepskins in usual supply, prices ranging from is id to 3s 3d each; scoured wool nj^d the lb. At Pokeno, on Monday, a small muster of cattle found ready buyers at better prices than at the larger markets, principally among the neighbors. At Drury, on Wednesday, a large supply of cattle were yarded. There was a numerous attendance, and although bidding was slow, in part influenced by the dry weather, they were eventually quitted at satisfactory prices. Dairy cows, at or near calving, arc in good request. At Remuera, on Wednesday, there were no store cattle yarded. Fat cattle in average number, but heavy weights and good quality. Bidding was dull. Prices ranged Trom Sis to 23s for prime steers, and from 18s for middling quality. Fat sheep were in stcay demand, at 2sd the lb.; and a few well-bred young pigs sold at high values. Messrs Hunter and Nolans Weekly Report. — Horses— The activity of the previous week has continued. A good number nave been brought fortvard, and found purchasers at prices satisfactory to the vendor. On Friday, at the Durham Yards, a nice lot of young horses were subjected to competition, and elicited spirited bidding. We quote hacks from L.5 15s to L.18: light harness horses from L.14 to L.aj 10s; medium draught, L.28 to L 32 15s. Cattle— The supply of dairy and store stocks nas been short of requirements, but fat beasts were yarded in ample numbers. A good many dairy cows could have been sold advantageously. Stores, although not urgenty wanted, continue in steady demand. There was an upward tendency in the price of fat beasts. At Newmatket, on Tuesday, the bidding fluctuated, and prices ranged from 22s to 25s per ioolhs., and for a few animals a shade higher was given. There were no noteworthy alteration in the value of dairy or store stocks . Sheep— A large number was again yarded at Newmarket, on Tuesday, but there was an improved demand— wethers selling at from 14s to 17s each; ewes, us 6d toiss. Few lambs penned, and of indiffereut description; demand unsatisfied. Pigs— Very few yarded. Those of a good description will find ready purchasers.
