WaiTcato Times Office, Friday Evening. Aucklaxo Cattle Market.— Mr Alfred Auckland's Weekly Report.— At the Haymarket, on Friday last, fodder was abundant. Rest quality brought from 4s to 5s od ; inferior from is 6d per cwt. Rye grass seed, 4s 7d ; cocksfoot, 4s 3d to 4s 7d per bushel ; potatoes, 45s per ton. For the bull calves of Messrs Reid Brothers there was goo<| competition. Prices varied with quality, from £4 to £13 each. Horse stock were in good inquiry. Young animals, suitable for farm purposes, sold freely, at prices varying from j£iBto32 each. Good riding and buggy horses WCrc also inzuircd for. At the bide and. skin

sale, on Tuesday, late prices were sustained. Bcs qualitp hides, jd to 3|d ; damaged, from id icr fb. ; sheepskins, from ixd to 2s sd each; wool, in bags, 6]d to 8d per Ib. At Komuera, on Thursday, dairy cows; at calving, were in brisk inquiry. Store cattle unsaleable, except at low values. Eat cattle in unusually full numbers. Prices were steady throughout, and but sljghth lower than last week. They ranged from 22s to 24s per loolbs. Store sheep in better inquiry LongwooHcd ewes, of a good class, brought i6t and 17s 6d ; ewe hoggetts, 21s 6d; lames, us. Fat sheep in moderate number, and fully 2^d per lb. ; longwoolled wethers, 14s to 17s 6d. Fai lambs were of indifferent ku.ility, and brought from 6s to 8s 6d each. A large number of youniz store pigs met a ready sale at satisfactory prices. Messrs Hunter and Nolans Weekly Report.— Horses — There has been continued activity in the market, and although there has been little alteration in price, the demand has been brisker, and a good many have changed hands. Above the a\ cragc number were submitted by auction at the Durham Yard^ on Friday. Competition was good throughout the sale, and for colts and young broken-in ho.-ses prices had an upward tendency. There is an unsatisfied demand foi young heavy draught horses with suitable trials. We quote : Hacks, from £6 to £15 10s ; lighl harness horses, from £10 5s to £16 10s ; colts, suitable for quick draught, £16 to £17 10s. The demand for grass and clover seed is slackening. We sold Poverty Bay eyegrass ah from 4s 6d to 5s ; local grown, 4s ; cocksfoot, 5s to 6s ; clover seeds at fiuncnt rates. Cattle — The supply ol fat beasts has been unusually large. The demand for dairy stock has been in excess ot the supply. At Newmarket but few store stock were yarded, but there was again a large number brovght forward at Pukekohe, on Wednesday. The demand was spirited. Last week's quotations were fully sustained, with the exception oi fat beasts, which declined in value from 2s 6d to 5s per isolbs. Sheep — There was aga.n a good suply at Newmaiket, on Tuesday, but a bribk demand existed, and is 8d to is lod per 81bs. was freely given. Stores were very scarce, and there exists an urgent want for ewes. Lambs were in fair supply, but sold cheaper relativclj ,han mutton. Pigs— But few pardod. A good deman existed.
