NOTICE.

WHEREAS certain Public Works, that is to say the construction of the Hamilton Branch Section, WaikatoThames Railway, have been executed. And whereas by " The Public Works Act, 1876," it is amongst other things enacted that claims for compensation in the case of the Minister for Public Works shall be served by being left at such office in each district as ohe Minister appoints by public notice. Now, I, John Hall, Minister acting for the Minister for Public Works, do hereby publicly notify that I appoint the Public Works Office, at Auckland, to be the office at which persons claiming compensation for land taken or injuriously affected by the said public works, or suffering any damage from the exercise of any ef the powers given by the said Act in respect thereof, shall serve their claims for compensation pursuant to the said Act Dated at Wellington this twenty-fourth day of February, 1880. JOHN HALL, Minister acting for the Minister for Public Works.
