Confirming Declarations by Auckland Cattle Board of Infected Places. — Notice No. 34
Colonial Secretary's Office, ' Wellington, 3rd April, 1880. NOTICE is hereby given that, under section 24 of "The Diseased Cattle Act, 1871," His Excellancy the Governor has confirmed the decisions of the Auckland Cattle Board, as set forth in the following declarations. William Rolleston, (in absence of the Colonial Secretary.)
Auckland, Bth March, 1880. The Local Cattle Board give notice, in accordance with section 23 of "The Diseased Cattle Act, 1871," that the disease known as pleuro-pneumonia exists in Mr Joseph Finnerty 'sherd of horned cattle, grazing in the Swamp paddock, Otahuhu Road, near Auckland, and that the said paddock is declared an infected place. The Local Cattle Board give notice, in accordance with section $3 of "The Diseased Cattle Act, 1871, "that pleuro-pneu-monia exists in the herd of cattle belonging to Messrs. Schedule.
All that distinct surrounding Panmure basin, and known as Section 4 of the Suburbs of Panmure. Bounded on the north-east by road commencing at the northern angle of Lot! of Section 4, and forming the north-eastern boundary of that lot to its termination ; thence from that point to the high-water mark of the Panmure Basin to its entrance to the Tamaki River ; thence across that entrance and'by the Tamaki River aforesaid to the south-eastern angle of Lot 17 of Section 4 on the South by road forming the southern boundary of Lots 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8,. 7, and 6Of Section 4 ; and on the North-west by the Panmure and Otahuhu Road, being the north-western boundary of Lots 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, of Section 4, to the point of commencement. South Auckland Cattle District. NOTICE is hereby given that the Township of- Cambridge, the Cambridge Highway Distriot, and the Tamahere Highway District are declared infected, districts tinder , the Diseased Cattle Act, 1871. and Amendment Act, 1873. All persons driving cattle on the public roads, or running any on the Waste Lands of the Crown without a certificate from any Inspector or two members of the Poard will be prosecuted. IN consequence of pleuro-pneumonia having been found to exißt amongst cattle depasturing on the Cambridge run, the Town Board acting under instructions from and at the request of the Cattle Board, hereby order ail persons owning cattle depasturing on the Roads or Waste Lanis within the limits of the Township to have them at once removed therefrom, and further notify that any Owners of Cattle neglecting or refusing to comply with the terms of this notice will render themselves liable to all the penalties provided under the Diseased Cattle Act, 1871, and Amendment Act, 1 873. A MEETING of Ratepayers of the Kirikiriroa Highway District, will be held at the Royal Hotel, Hamilton East, on Wednesday, the 28 inst. at 2 o'clock p.m. for the purpose of considering a proposal made by the Piako Land Association to stop seventeen roads within the district, particulars of which have been periodically advertised in the Waikato Times newspaper for twelve weeks.
