HAMILTON AND WHATAWHATA ROAD.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib, — It seems the deputations and interviewing which our worthy M.H.R. has had to put up with concerning this road has considerably warped his usual good judgment, else he would not liave sent the telegram to Wellington to get the first section stopped, which has been taken at one-third of the money granted ; for he must know it means stopping the work altogether this season. By the time the O.E.s have laid off another section somewhere midway it will be time to think about Christinas holidays. He surely might have hurried on No. 2 section, and then we should have had one half a good road, instead of starting in the .middle and each end blocked up. Too much meddling is likely to spoil this very useful improvement altogether, and I hope our member will use some of his own sense to put it right. — I am, &c, Ax Elector.
