AUCKLAND, Last night. The Star commends the Manager of the Swamp Estate for his promptitude in inoculating all cattle immediately the first sign of pleuro - pneumonia appeared. It says : — "The malady spreads with fearful rapidity after its first appearance, and delay would be ruinous. The Manager is commended therefore for hia promptitude. Australian experience has, we believe, established the fact that inoculation is an absolute preventative, and the experiment made on the Swamp will be watched with jrreat interest by cattle-owners throughout the Province."
