CAMBRIDGE, Last Night.

MEETING OF CATTLE BOAED. PLXUBO EEPOETED IN THB DISTKICT. A meeting of the newly constituted S<ynth of Auckland Cattle Board was held at the Farmers' Club this afternoon, but as the board has not yet been gazetted, it was thought inadvisable to pass any resolution. Mr Burke attended, and reported that one of bis cattle (colonial bred) died on Friday. He had opened it and found the left lung diseased. The rest of his cattle were all well, and had been innoculated. It was agreed amongst members that on Mr Bourke reporting any further cases of sickness a professional man should be summoned. MEETING OF THE FARMERS* CLUB. A meeting of the Farmers' Club was held this afternoon. Major Wilson read a very interesting paper on the " Culture of Grasses," whioh was fully discussed. Several new members were elected, and a few nominated.
