Block XI : Lands generally swampy, but now under draining by Government, Vegetation — fern, scrub, titree, flax, &c. All the sections quite level. The soil after drainage is excellent, as may be seen by the surrounding properties already drained. The neai'est of the lands will be within half a mile of the Te Aroha Township, and Railway Station. Block XII. — Sections 15, 16, 20, 26, 27, abut on the Thames river frontage road, with good landings ; soil good, especially along l-iver. Troop Orders by Major Jackson commanding. rHE Te Awamutu Troop Cavalry Volunteers will parade at Ohaupo on Thursday, 25th inst., at 9 a.m. Waggon will leave Ohaupo punctually at 9 30. with Carbines, Swords, and Kit. An escort will be told off to convoy waggon. A Nosebag 1 nnd Tether rope will be provided each trooper on reaching first mid-day halt, whe c forage will be provided for horses. The Troop will camp at Wood's Hotel the first night. Next day will procoed to Paeroa, where they will camp for the night, marching into Thames between 3 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, 27th inst. Wm.
