THE EASTER VOLUNTEER REVIEW.

Col. Lyon, the Officer Commanding the Waikato District met Major Jackson and the officers of the Waikato Cavalry at Cambridge yesterday, for the purpose of completing arrangements in reference to the intended movement of the Cavalry to the Thames to take part in the Easter Review. It has been definitely arranged that the half-yearly drill shall t*ke place in March, commencing on the 25th instead of in the month of May, as heretofore, so as to ensure a good muster on the occasion of the forthcoming military movements by our Thames friends. There was a. full muster of officers, and the following programme was arranged: — The Cambridge troop will start on '1 hursday, March 25th, and bivouac at ampbelltown that night. The Te Awamutu troop starting on the same day will take up their quarters at Morrinsville, and are to be joined there by their Hamilton brethren in arms. All the troops taking up the line of march at daybreak on Friday, 26th, will rendezvous at Faeroa before 6 o'clock on the evening of that day. A start will be made by the whole body on Saturday, with a view to reaching Grahamst wn between 3 and 4 o'clock Every arrangement has been made for a good supply of forage for the horses, and the commissariat will be well looked after. It was stated at the moeting that a steamer will be in waiting at Omahu, to convey several ladies to the scene of the review. We must congratulate our gallant Volunteers on the probability of their evolutions being witnessed and applauded by their countrywomen of Waikato. The Cambridge Band will be in attendance, and will, no doubt enliven the march with sole stirring music. From what we can gather, every arrangement so far is complete,, and we have no doubt that the Thames people will accord as hearty a welcome to our men as the most enthusiastic can hope for.
