William Skaranckk, Esq., Returning Officer for the Borough of Hamilton, notifies that an election to fill up the office gof Mayor, rendered vacant by the resignation of Captain Dawson, will take place on Monday, 22nd instant, nominations for which, must be sent m by noon on the 17th instant, and further, that an electiou to fill the three vacancies caused by the resignations of Councillors Camming, Knox and McDonald, will be held on Tusday, 23rd instant, nominations for which must be received by noon of the 18th. The programme of the music to be rendered at the Hamilton Light Infantry Promenade Concert, on Thursday evening, appears elewhere. Among the performers we observe the names of the leading amateurs m Hamilton. Mr E. McGarrigle, proprietor of the Waikato Tea Mart, advertises, that owing to certain parties cutting under trade prices, he has determined to reduce the price of his groceries ten per cent, to meet the times. Thk Hamilton Rifle Volunteers, with their band, will parade this evening at six o'clock, instead of two p.m. as previously ordered, for inspection by Colonel Leckie, at the Oddfellows' Hall. Mr Thomas Kirk, Registrar, notifies that the Registration Office, for the Electoral Districts of Waikato and Waipa, will be at the Court House, Hamilton. Thk Te Awamutu annual races will take place on Her Majesty's birthday. Suhscriukus to the Waikato Hand-book are requested to pay amounts due on the same to Messrs E. M. Edgcumbe and Co., who are authorised to receive the same. Mr Kennedy Hill advertises that he has for sale a quantity of grass seed of the best quality, at under'Anckland prices.
