Auckland Cattle Market. — Mr Alfred Buckland's Weekly Report.—At theHaymarket, on Friday last, fodder was at lower values; meadow hay, from is gd to 2s; oaten hay, 2s gd to 3s 3d the cwt.; damaged fencing wire, 6s gd to gs the cwt.; bran, L 4 7s 6d to L 4 10s the ton ; oats, varying with sample, from 2s 2d to 2s nd; maize. 3s id to 3s 3d the bushel. In horse stock more business was done than for several weeks past; all useful working animals were sold. The cab horses and harness brought L 62. Heavy draught, L3O to L 36; medium draught, suitable for farm work, Ll7 to L3O; riding horse stock, L8 to L 22 loseach. At the Pokeno sale, on Monday, about 60 cattle were yarded; aged cows remained unsold, but for young cattle there was fair competition. At Drury, on Wednesday, there was a large muster both of cattle and buyers, with good competition throughout. Yonng growing cattle were the description most in request, and those realised extreme prices. The hide and skin sale on Tuesday was fully attended, and improved prices obtained throughout. Hides brought 3*d to 3d; calfskins, 2jd per lb.; pelts, 2d to 8d; skins, is 4d to 3s lod each; in grease, from 6d to 7£d; lambswool. 7&d the lb. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy and store cattle were at late values. Fat cattle in usual number; 145 head sold. Prices were more regular than for th» last few weeks, and ranged from 23s to 26s the ioolbs. Fat sheep in less number than average, and better worth about $d per lb. They brought from 2d to sjd. Lambs fairly represented, aud in good inquiry; prices ranged from 8s to us each. Pigs, both nit and store, in limited number and steady demand. No fat calves brought forward. Messrs Hunter and Nolans Weekly Report.— Horses.—A good many have been offered for sale, and there has been an increased demand for horses of a really good stamp. On Friday a large number were entered for disposal by auction. Competition was good, and, with some exceptions, lots were quitted .it values satisfactory to vendors. We quote hacks from L 5 15s to I/io ss; light harness norsesj irom Ll2 to Lig. Wool, hides, and skins were in r.ither short supply at the Durham Yards, on Tuesday. Hides sold at 3£d'per lb.; skins, from is 8d to 2s 2d; woo], iv grease, from sd to 7§d. Cattle—-'lhcre has been an unusually large supply. Dairy and store stock maintained their value, but fat bcastb receded a little. The Newmarket Yards were well-filled on Tuesday. Buyers, wore in attendance, and for dairy aud store stock competition was spirited, but, with the exception of a few pens of well-fatted light weights, the demand for fat stock was slack, and prices rauged from 22s to 37s per ioolbs. There was 110 noteworthy alteration in prices of dairy and store stock. Sheep. —There was .1 fcir supply^ at Newmarket on Tuesday. Competition was spirited and prices had an upward tendency, is 8d per 81bs. having been given. Lambs were yarded in moderate numbers. For good fat lambs competition was brisk, and sold at from 7s to us; store lambs, 4s tyl to 6s. Pigs. —But lew were yarded. The demand was good, and prices were iv favor of the vendor.
