NATIVE NEWS.— BAY OF OF PLENTY. (OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Tauranga, Feb. 15th 1880.
The complications at Eotorua re "Wilson's Hotel and Mr R. Graham's alleged action in connection with matter referred to in a former letter of mine, have taken a most extraordinary turn and the eventuation has been that Mrs Ann Robertson, the weli known boarding house keeper here* has purchased Mr Isaac Wilson's interest in the property, known as the Ohinemutu Hotel, it is said for £1000, and is prepared to mantain possession against all come s. This worthy lady deserves great credit for her determination of spirit in embarking in such a doubtful speculation, and even those who would desire that she should continue to cater for the wants of the public here, express themselves thus —"bless her let her go." What the next phase of the question may be, time alone will disclose; but it is confidently expected that Mr Robert Graham will find a more formidable opponent in Mrs Ann .Robertson or as the Maoris cull her Mvia Knrutbia than he did in the late occupant of the hotex. Bumour hath it thatsoimng times will yet be observable in Rotoruu. in connection with the Wilson-Graham-Robertson diffieultiuu. Now that tho Native Laud Court has not to sit at Tauranga, perhaps our wothy friends Whyte and Whitaker will present themselves on the same and get their land purchase matters passed through the Commirfbioner Wilson's Court, Wf m.u>t ] have Waikato anil Tai^ra^g^ oounectiutiin a proper way, and we nan only dopeud on the " go " of uur Waikato friends to oause the eventuation of such a desirable result.
