Ik the many articles of the Times f« published a manufacturers' memorandum from representatives of certain industries who purpose meeting to consider the advisability of withdrawing their application for space, owing to the tariff; and regret that the protective system cannot be modified, remarking that," owing to tbe dissolution, fresh legislation must be regarded as impossible, and that there cannot therefore be sufficient time for the advantage of the exhibitors. The polioy of Sydney is contrasted favorably.
