AN EXCURSION TRIP TO RAGLAN.

mHE ALABAMA COACH will leave the Hamilton Hotel, on Friday the 20th inst., at the hour of 7.30 a.m. for the purpose of letting the Hamilton and Waikato settlers visit the sea-shore, and spend a few days in fishing and bathing , And person or family wishing to engage seats, will please call at the office of A. G. Sandes, Box 27, Hamilton Post-office " (or by tel°gram), on or before Saturday, February 28th, 1880, at 8 p.m. Weights will be published on Tuesday, the 2nd of March, 1380, in the Waikato Times. Acceptances and general entries to be made on or before Friday, the 12th March, at 8 p.m., addressed as above. All jockeys, except those in the Maori Race, riack Race, and Flutter, to ride in colors or they will not be permitted to start. No entry will be received without beingr accompanied by the requisite amount of cash, nor later than the time named. I In all post entry races four horses to ' start or no prize will be given. No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this oondition: That . all disputes, claims, asd objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. Protests to be accompanied by I soy., which -will be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. Qualification subscription for Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4, 105 ; for 5, 6, and 7, ss. If funds will permit, stakes will be increased pro rata.

MRS. MITCHELL begs to inform her lady friends and customers that she has removed to the house lately occupied by Mr O'Neill, Solicitor. BY-LAWS of the Borough of Hamilton are hereby published in conformity with I lause 340 of the " Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and will be further considered at a special meeting of the Council, to be held for that purpose at the Council Chambers, Hamilton, on Thursday, the 19th of February, 1880, at 7 o'clock p.m. J. Any person guilty of any of tho following offences, omission, or neglects within the Borough of Hamilton, shall, on being convicted ! of any such offence, neglect or omission, be liable to pay any penalty not exceeding Five T'ounds (£5).
