AMERICAN ITEMS. San Francisco, February 14.
The unemployed, in large num. bers, visited the mills, and demanded the discharge of Chinese employed in the establishments. The employers ot Chinese labour temporised with the men in order to overcome the difficulty. The Senate has passed a bill prohibiting corporate bodies from employing Chinese labour.
