AUCKLAND, Last Night.

The Bank of New Zealand has subscribed £100 to the Irish Famine Relief Fund.

btjckiand's sheep yaxr. To-day Mr Buckland held his annual sheep fair. The rams, generally speaking, were equal to those penned in any previous year, being bred from the best imported stook sheep, and came from various districts. Graham, of Awitu, penned four prime Lincoln hoggets ; his Waiuku neighbor, Barr Brown had a couple of good hoggets ; Caleb Hosking brought forward 15 excellent^ hoggets

from his capital flock of Lincolns. There was a splendid lot of Lincoln rams and ram hoggets from the celebrated flock of Joseph May. Gallagher, of Kaipara, penned seven Romney Marsh rams ; David Nathan, ten good Lincoln rams ; Duncan and Niceol, seventeen Lincoln ranw, of fair quality. Middleton, as usual, was high up in the scale of excellency with representativos of hia Papakura flock. The fair was very poor, compared vith former successful ones held by Buckland, when upwards of 10,000 sheep have been penned. To-morrow Buckland will sell pure Lincoln rams imported by Messrs Foster and Grant. The prioes obtained for ewes varied considerably. The best figure was obtained for some Lincoln ewes, bred by Mr John May, which were of a superior stamp, ten being bought by Mr James Wallace, of Papatoitoi, for £45 each.
