Auckland Cattlb Market.— Mr Alfred Buckland's Weekly Report. Heavy draught horses are at lower values; good animals were sold from £20 to £33 each ; medium draught maintained their values better, and brought from £14 to £25.— At Pukekohe, on Monday, there was the usual muster of cattle. Young stock sold more freely than hitherto. Calves brought from 26 to 495; yearlings from £3 to £± each. — At the produce sale, on Tuesday, wool tully maintained previous values ; iv grease, from 6j to 7§ the lb. ; pelts from 6d. ; sheepskins, 2s. to 2 gd. lambskins, is. each ; station tallow, 18 3s the cwt sound hides, 2J to 3§ the lb. — At Remuera, on. Thursday, dairy cows were in moderate number and at late values. Store cattle numerous Grown steers were at lower values about 10s. per head,but cows and young cattle sold freely, at fully late values. Fat cattle in full number, 160 head yarded. Bidding was slow, and, at first, prices lower, but rallied as the sale proceeded, and finished about 5s per head higher than last week. Prices varied from 18s for cows to 27s for plump steers, but the greater number of steers sold were from 24s to 25s the loolbs. No store shoep yarded. Fat sheep in moderate number, and better worth, 2d thelb. being the ruling prtce for wethers and young ewes. Lambs were plentiful but at good values, varying with quality from 8s to 13s each. Fat calves, numerous and at full values. Store pigs, of coarse quality, plentiful and in brisk inquiry. Messrs Hunter and Nolans Weekly Report.— Horses : The demand has been good, but the supply limited. At the Durham Yards on Friday, about the average number was entered for disposal by auction ; the competition was good, and, almost without exception, lots were cleared. We quote hacks from L 7 to Ll5 15s ; light harness horses, from Ll2 to Ll9 15s ; medium draught, L 24 to L3O. Cattle: There has been little alteration in the market. The supply at Newmarket was good, aud larger than usual at Papakura on Wednesday. Dairy stock have continued in good demand, and prices have been sustained. Stores were steadily inquired for, but prices were barely sustained. At Newmarket, on Tuesday, the supply ot fat beasts was good, and at the opening of the sale competition was brisk, and 30s per ioolbs. was given, but receded towards the close to 275. There was no noteworthy alteration in last week's quotations of dairy and store stock. Sheep : There was a good supply for slaughter. At Newmarket, on Tuesday, competition was steady at is 6d per 81bs. ; lambs were scarce, and sold at lrom gs to us 3d. Pigs were yarded in limited numbers, and there remains an unsatisfied inquiry.
