AUCKLAND, Last Night.
The ship British Empire, with four hundred passengers, chiefly small farmers, has arrived and been placed in quarantine. Eighteen cases of scarlet fever and two deaths occurred on the voyage. J. S. Macfarlane's funeral was very largely attended to-day.
